Help us get palm oil labelling over the line
Because finding sustainable palm oil shouldn’t be a marathon
To raise funds for the next stage of the campaign, our Creative Director, Matt, will be running the Auckland marathon on November 2nd to help us get palm oil labelling over the line. A gruelling 42.2 km run to support our campaign for palm oil to be labelled clearly on products.
As you may be aware, in June 2015, ten Ministers representing each state, territorial and federal government of Australasia will be meeting to decide whether mandatory labelling of palm oil will go to the next stage of policy development. This will be by far the most important moment of the campaign to date so in the lead up to this meeting we will be heavily lobbying all ten of these Ministers to ensure they vote for transparency in 2015.
With our trans-Tasman efforts come some running costs. It takes funds to put the best policy research in front of Ministers, to be in public raising awareness and to keep our team out on the road and in the corridors of power.
This is why Matt is running and we would really appreciate it if you would support him. You can head over to our Givealittle page to donate at https://www.givealittle.co.nz/cause/unmaskpalmoil
Finding sustainable palm oil shouldn’t be a marathon, with your support it won’t be.
